The Centre for Endangered Languages, Sikkim University in collaboration with the Centre for Endangered Languages, Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Institute of Tribal Studies, Arunachal Pradesh organised a “Workshop on Sociolinguistics” from 8th-14th April 2018 in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
The programme was inaugurated by the Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University, and Prof. Simon John, Coordinator, Centre for Endangered Languages, Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. It was the in-house workshop between the two centres sharing the ideas, processes and achievements so far. In addition, it served as a feedback mechanism to strengthen the Centres’ work. The workshop was attended by eighteen participants from the Centre for Endangered Languages, Rajiv Gandhi University and the Centre for Endangered Languages, Sikkim University.
