Gurung Pilot Fieldwork

The pilot field survey was conducted by the Centre for Endangered Languages, Sikkim University to ascertain the sociolinguistic and language endangerment situation of the language in Pathing, Upper Yangyang, Nizraming, Tingle, Bethghari and Chuba in South Sikkim; Bariakhop, Dentam and Begha in West Sikkim; and Parkha in East Sikkim. The pilot survey on the language was conducted from 3rd-20th July 2017 in 10 villages spread across the three districts of Sikkim. Another round of field survey was carried out on 14th-15th February, 2018 in Ghoom Bhanjyang in Darjeeling. The following members conducted the survey:
